  1. I heard you on the radio this afternoon as I was heading home, never miss a Friday, i love your commentaries. But i was desapointed at how wrong you were today. Actually, i’m glad you were wrong because we bought advance tickets and there was no turning back…Cars 2 was absolutely fantastic and i would recommend it to anyone who asked, much better than the first, than any Dreamworks movie (including Shrek, ok, a bit of a “race” with KungFu Panda 2 but still better and so beautiful) and than others of Pixar. It was exciting, upbeat, funny, fun with a great wholesome message the whole family can watch and enjoy and continue to be excited and happy and talking about it after the movie is over (you know that’s gold in today’s families) Of how many movies you can say that about? Yes, you were right, so worth it to watch it on 3D it truly works. I think you will review your original review when you take a second look years from now…i feel i want to thank-you, my expectations were lowered and it made my experience even better if possible. (I’m still looking forward to buying your book 🙂

  2. Thanks, Melissa! Very kind words. I appreciate your passion – and yes, I have certainly changed my opinion before. But art is subjective and not every film works the same way for every person. That’s the beauty of the conversation! I’m sure I was expecting too much from the movie, but what can I say? I’ve been so spoiled by Pixar! The next time I watch it – and I will, because I have a 5-year-old! – I’ll know exactly what to expect. Thanks again!
