Victor Frankenstein-Trailer

Anyone who’s read the classic novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley knows the book is all about fun, one-liners,  stealth mystery and jump scares. Screenwriter Max Landis knows this so when he took a stab at a reboot of that classic story, that’s the angle he went with. Wait, what’s that? The original Frankenstein novel was created over a drug-fueled weekend rife with orgies while Shelley was trying to get over a difficult miscarriage? Oh, well, then what the hell is this new Victor Frankenstein movie on about?

Anyway…

Here’s the trailer for Victor Frankenstein and although it seems to use the very basic concepts from the novel and previous cinematic efforts, it’s a new spin on an old classic. And snarkiness aside, it does look fun. It’s interesting because previously the angle the film seemed to be taking was that it’s told through the eyes of Igor (and, it is) but this trailer seems to eshew that idea in favor of more CGI bang for your buck. We will all find out more when the film drops this Thanksgiving. Here’s more on the film…
