I’m a big fan of the people who made I Smile Back which made its debut at this years Sundance Film Festival. Sarah Silverman is a brilliant artist and this film shows her really sinking her teeth into a role that’s not comedic, per se. I’m also a big, big fan of one of the films producers, Brian Koppelman (who has an excellent podcast you should be listing to) and his wife Amy Koppelman wrote the screenplay for the film. So, I was already looking forward to this one. Good people tend to make good movies.
Now today the trailer drops as well as word that Sarah Silverman will be getting the movie star “Spotlight On…” treatment at this years Mill Valey Film Festival and good golly, I’m psyched for I Smile Back!
