February 5 cannot get here fast enough. Why? Because that’s when The Coen Brothers latest film Hail Caesar! opens. This is the brothers’ latest film after their best film, Inside LLewyn Davis which I still refuse to believe didn’t win Best Picture in 2013. In fact, I refuse to believe it wasn’t nominated either. Now I’m getting angry. Back to Hail Caesar! Which looks funny and thinking about it is already cheering me up.
The film looks like a combination of The Big Lebowski and The Hudsucker Proxy and that’s a good thing. The cast is also Wes Andersonian in its breadth of awesomeness. Hail Caesar! Stars Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum. Hot damn! More info below…
In Theaters February 5.
Four-time Oscar®-winning filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen (No Country for Old Men, True Grit, Fargo) write and direct Hail, Caesar!, an all-star comedy set during the latter years of Hollywood’s Golden Age. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Channing Tatum, Hail, Caesar! follows a single day in the life of a studio fixer who is presented with plenty of problems to fix.
