Just above this is the trailer for the new X-Men movie, X-Men: Apocalypse and to me look looks more like X-MEH: Apocalypse, am I right?!? Hahahah. Ohhh man, Good one. But seriously…
The trailer looks…o.k.. I’ve been digging these X-Men prequels and I really love the actors they chose to play the younger version of the mutants. So seeing James McAvoy as Professor X, Michael Fassbender as Magneto and Jennifer Lawrence as the complicated Mystique makes me excited for the film. But then the trailer gets some really crappy and hokey looking CGI backgrounds that frankly look like some kid made his own greenscreen and photoshopped in scenes from other X-Men movies.
I also am a big, big Oscar Isaac fan (he’s my new man-crush, sorry Timothy Olyphant) but his Apocalypse character looks and seems like Giant Marvel Space Villain 101. Thanos from Guardians of the Galaxy was the first thing that popped into my mind. Still. I’m looking forward to this one and although I’m not completely up to speed on the Apocalypose character and storyline from the books, I’m assured it’s pretty awesome.
