Rogue One (Teaser Trailer)

Aw, yeah!

Behold the first teaser for the next Star Wars movie – and the first “anthology” chapter to not have an episode number. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story takes place in roughly the same era as Star Wars Rebels, but closer to Episode IV: A New Hope.

Remember when Darth Vader referred to the stolen Death Star plans and casually said, “There will be no one to stop us this time.”

He was probably referring to the events in this new film.

Rumor has it that Vader makes an appearance, which would make sense. But there’s also a quick shot of a cloaked baddie flanked by red Imperial guards who looks a lot like the Emperor. Oh, and there are AT-ATs … and Donnie Yen as a space samurai … and the base at Yavin IV … and a dead-on Mon Mothma!

Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One opens December 16th and may not make as much money as The Force Awakens, but will pretty much wipe the floor with the rest of 2016’s slate.
