Back in 2013 a movie called Blue Ruin rocked the cinematic world with its slow burn revenge thriller stylings. Seriously, if you haven’t seen the film, seek it out. It’s on Netflix Instant right now and is well worth watching. At that time the films writer/director Jeremy Saulnier was a relative unknown having only written and directed 2003’s Murder Party which was pretty good but a bit uneven.
